The baby girl was born prematurely at 28 weeks. The baby was very tiny and weighed just over a kilogram at birth. Immediately after the birth, the girl was admitted to the intensive care unit on a ventilator, and doctors began to fight for her life. Olivia's examination showed the presence of malignant tumor of the anterior mediastinum, the girl was transferred to the oncology department of the Blokhin Medical Center, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Now Olivia is three months old, she is a strong and persistent girl. Every day she shows her desire to live and recover. The girl is already breathing on her own, smiling at her mom.
The little girl needs to start oncologic treatment, which requires additional genetic research. Such a study will help doctors to clarify the diagnosis of the girl and prescribe appropriate treatment.
