Together we fed Rafael

Rafael was born with cerebral edema and spent the first nine days of his life in intensive care, connected to a ventilator - he himself was not breathing. The baby was discharged from the hospital with several difficult diagnoses, including cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Rafael is now 10 years old. Due to his illness, he cannot walk, stand or even sit on his own. But this does not stop him from enjoying life: sculpting from plasticine, listening to fairy tales and watching cartoons. Rafael also goes to school. He doesn’t like to solve problems and examples, but he loves music and reading lessons. Twice a week a teacher comes to his home - every time Rafael is very much looking forward to her and is happy when he sees her. Rafael's health depends on medications, medical equipment and special nutrition. Unfortunately, Raphael cannot feed himself and cannot receive regular food. Because of this, Rafael is underweight, which significantly affects his condition. The boy needs special food - Neocate Junior formula. Rafael needs 22 cans of this food per month, but they don’t give it out for free. Mom is raising Rafael alone and it is very difficult for her to buy food for her son on her own.
