Yakub is 5 years old. After 2 years, the boy stopped responding to the name, did not look into the eyes. After contacting a neurologist, he was diagnosed with delayed speech development.
During the intensive classes, the boy became more attentive, began to communicate more easily with teachers, and there was a positive trend in onomatopoeia and pronunciation of individual sounds. Yakub learned how to match a picture with an object and look for similar objects, asking with a pointing gesture. He also made progress in the "listener behavior" skill.
The adaptive physical education coach paid special attention to teaching the child to jump and keep body balance. He started jumping with a cue, learned how to work out on a treadmill, throw a ball at a target, and began to control his body better.
During the sensory integration classes, the specialist worked on Yakub's vestibular and tactile systems. The boy can now stand confidently on a balancing cushion, with the help of cereals and sand, his large and small motor skills have improved. Small toys and a ball were used to work on visual-motor coordination.
