Shelter veterinarians have been trained on “Vector-borne diseases of dogs and cats and immune-mediated anemia”!

Helping Hand for Homeless Animals

Foundation Penza

We are happy to announce: our fundraiser for the training of veterinarians of the shelter “Helping Hand for Homeless Animals” has been successfully completed! Thanks to your support, two of our specialists took a course on diagnosis and treatment of vector-borne diseases of dogs and cats, as well as immune-mediated anemia. The acquired knowledge is already being put into practice: the doctors confidently identify the causes of severe conditions in animals coming to the shelter. Treatment at the shelter is now not only more effective, but also more cost-effective: correct diagnosis helps to avoid additional costs for repeat tests and secondary problems. Thanks to your participation, the shelter's doctors are now armed not only with experience, but also with the most up-to-date knowledge of veterinary medicine. “When we understand the nature of the disease, we can really help rather than fight blindly,” say the shelter's veterinarians.

Campaign information

Let's help shelter veterinarians gain the new knowledge to save ponytail patients – a course for advanced training of doctors!

The Penza shelter daily faces severe diseases in the animals admitted to its walls, which are transmitted by parasites. Unfortunately, dogs and cats living on the street are most often exposed to such infections. Without timely and proper treatment, such diseases can lead to the death of the pony-tailed pets or to a significant reduction in their quality of life. To increase the effectiveness of treatment and reduce the cost of delayed treatment and other specialists, it is important for the shelter to train two veterinarians in the course “Vector-Borne Diseases of Dogs and Cats and Immune-Mediated Anemia.” The training will help the doctors accurately identify the causes of disease and prescribe effective medications, thereby saving thousands of lives a year. The right therapy gives chances for a quick recovery, reducing the financial cost of tests or secondary health problems. We are asking you to support this important fundraiser. The more qualified our professionals are, the more ponytails will go to new families healthy and happy. Join the good cause, help us become stronger in the fight against severe parasitic diseases!
