Olga is 37 years old and lives in the Saratov region with her family - her husband and young daughter.
In March 2024 Olga felt bad. Her back began to ache badly, her strength was not enough even for ordinary household chores, painkillers had no effect. Olga went to the hospital. While undergoing examinations, doctors assumed acute respiratory viral infections, flu, covitis. But the analyses showed only extremely low haemoglobin. In April, on her birthday, Olga could not get out of bed. Olga was admitted to hospital, her temperature rose, it became difficult to breathe. Then 4 days in intensive care, tests were sent to Moscow and finally the diagnosis became clear - lymphoma.
Olga was transferred to the haematology department, where she spent many months of heavy treatment away from her beloved family, thinking only about seeing her little daughter as soon as possible. In a month and a half Olga lost 22 kilograms, she had no strength even to get out of bed. But Olga persevered towards her goal - remission, when she would be allowed to carry out a bone marrow transplant. And, at the end of 2024, that moment came - Olga felt better. She was allowed to go home to her family at weekends. But the decisive step - the transplant - lay ahead. Before this, Olga and her brother need to undergo a special examination: HLA typing to determine whether her brother is suitable as a bone marrow donor.
Olga's family can no longer pay for this test on their own - they have incurred too much medical expenses in 2024.
Let's help Olga to get tested and find a suitable donor for a bone marrow transplant and thus defeat blood cancer!
