Elhan received a prosthetic arm!

Three years ago, 8-year-old Elkhan was badly burned after a gas cylinder exploded in his house. The injuries were so severe that 17 operations had to be performed on his legs, arms, head, face and eyes. One eye, the right arm up to the elbow, and part of the fingers of the left hand could not be preserved. The boy needs a prosthetic arm to be able to take care of himself and help his family. A free cosmetic prosthesis creates only a certain aesthetic impression of a whole arm, but it is completely non-functional. An active prosthesis capable of holding objects is very expensive for a family with three children. Only Mom works, Dad gets a small pension. Elkhan is now 11 years old. He is an active, sociable, friendly boy. The lack of a hand makes it very difficult for him to communicate with his peers. Mutilation attracts a lot of attention. Elkhan lives in the village and helps with household chores as much as he can. He loves horses very much. When given the opportunity, he rides around the neighborhood at full speed.
