Rehabilitation of children with congenital spinal malformations has very good results according to research. And more and more parents are taking their children to swimming in anticipation of progress in physical development. What we are facing is a low awareness of the diagnosis among swimming professionals. Training swim specialists to work with children diagnosed with spina bifida is an important step in ensuring children's safety and comfort during aquatic procedures. Professionals should have a good understanding of the specifics of a spina bifida diagnosis, how it affects a child's physical and mental well-being, and what movement patterns and limitations there are. The course will be conducted online and according to the experience of previous courses and feedback from participants - the course supervisor gives the most complete and useful information about working with children in the water. Such knowledge the swimming coach will be able to put into practice immediately. We are opening a collection to train 20 swim coaches to ensure that as many children with spina bifida as possible are engaged in quality hydrorehabilitation!
