Thanks to your support, Olga has completed the rehabilitation course she needed. In the summer of 2024, her life changed dramatically after a boating accident on the Volga River. A collision between a motorboat and a hydrofoil vessel left Olga with a severe spinal injury and loss of mobility in her legs. Before the accident, Olga worked as a lead process engineer in the shipbuilding industry. She contributed to the design of fishing vessels and worked on a project involving the world’s largest nuclear-powered icebreaker. She led an active life, enjoyed long walks, and had recently taken up ballet and stretching. Since the injury, Olga has been working persistently on her recovery. The rehabilitation course she has now completed is another important step forward. The sessions help her maintain and develop physical abilities, strengthen her body, and become more independent in everyday life. Olga hopes to return to the profession she loves, walk her dog independently, and regain as much of her active lifestyle as possible. Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser. Because of you, Olga was able to receive the rehabilitation she needed and continue her recovery.

Olga needs to undergo rehabilitation after a serious injury!

Olga is 29 years old, and her life changed dramatically this summer. In July 2024, she was involved in a water accident on the Volga River — a collision between a motorboat and a hydrofoil vessel. Out of the five victims, Olga suffered the most severe injury—a compression-comminuted spinal fracture that resulted in the loss of mobility in her legs.

Before the accident, Olga was a leading process engineer in shipbuilding. She contributed to the design of fishing vessels and worked on the project for the largest nuclear icebreaker. Active and determined, she loved hiking and had recently taken up ballet and stretching.

Now, Olga urgently needs a rehabilitation course that will give her a chance to return to a full life. From the very first days after the injury, she has remained optimistic. She dreams of working in her beloved profession again, walking her dog on her own, and returning to an active lifestyle. Her professional experience and expertise are highly valuable to the shipbuilding industry.
