Thanks to your support, the Sulbanov family has received parcels with special nutritional mixtures and medicines for Asilia. With this vital reserve, the girl grows more actively and gains weight.

In the very first days of the newborn's life, almost the entire small intestine was removed, and later two more operations were performed to lengthen the intestine by 20 cm. Unfortunately, due to short bowel syndrome, the body of a one-and-a-half-year-old Asilia does not absorb any proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals contained in conventional infant formulas. This means that a child cannot grow up on regular food and even therapeutic nutrition. The baby's nutrition is parenteral almost from birth (all nutrients enter the body with the help of droppers). Because of this, mom and Asilia lived in hospitals for many months, because only there the girl was provided with everything she needed for free. However, thanks to your support, we managed to buy a stock of mixtures for IVs, consumables for infusion therapy and central catheter care. And then Asilia and her mom finally went home to her dad, brothers and sister!

So the doctors have already allowed the introduction of complementary foods: two tablespoons of porridge made from a special mixture. Recently, the girl has managed to gain 1230 grams of weight! In the fall, Asilia is expected in Moscow for a routine check-up to adjust her therapy and see the results of her recovery.

Asilia needs special nutrition and supplies for infusion therapy to grow and gain weight.

Asilia has short intestine syndrome, which means that normal food is not digested in the girl's body. She receives all vital nutrients through a drip. Doctors say it's not permanent. But for now, in order for the girl to grow, we need our help with the purchase of special food, medicines and consumables for drips.

Shortly before giving birth, Zalikhan learned that her fourth child had a congenital malformation of the gastrointestinal tract. At the ultrasound, the doctor noticed dilated loops of intestine.

In the first days of her life, Asilia had almost the entire small intestine removed, leaving only 10 cm instead of one and a half meters. Later it took two difficult operations in St. Petersburg to lengthen the intestine by 20 centimeters. And for a year on round-the-clock parenteral nutrition he grew by the same amount (as a child grows, so does his intestine). Now it is on special mixtures, infusion therapy and supplies for central catheter care that Asilia will be able to recover and go home for the first time in her life.

For more than a year, she has remained hospital-bound. First in St. Petersburg and now in Moscow. She is 1.5 thousand kilometers away from her native home, where her father, two brothers and a little sister are waiting for her and her mother. Let's support Asilia and help the family reunite!
