Campaign information

Let's help treat the dog walking shelter for ticks!

One of the smallest, but also the most dangerous inhabitants of the forest in the central strip are ixodid ticks. Its bite is dangerous because arthropods carry deadly and poorly treatable diseases. For humans it is: viral encephalitis, Lyme disease, tularemia and others. The consequence of a bite can be paralysis, deafness, development of autoimmune and multisystem diseases. For dogs, a tick bite is no less dangerous, piroplasmosis or babesiosis is an acute and severe disease of dogs during which red blood cells (red blood cells) undergo destruction. Without treatment, the dog dies in 4-7 days. Acaricide treatment of the territory adjacent to the shelter allows to minimise the risks of tick bites. Now it is necessary to treat 6 hectares of territory where dozens of volunteers walk dogs every day. Let's help make the walks safe for volunteers and their dogs!
