Due to severe medical conditions, Bohdan and Maya are unable to walk and breathe only through a special device that facilitates breathing – a tracheostomy tube. They also need to have their airways cleared regularly; an aspirator handles this task.

Previously, the children only had a standard, stationary aspirator that plugs into an electrical outlet. This kept the families tied to their homes and created enormous risks: going to rehabilitation appointments, to the hospital, or simply going outside for fresh air was extremely difficult.

Thanks to the caring users of the Tooba platform, this problem has been solved! The raised funds allowed for the purchase of portable aspirators for the children. Now, the kids can travel and go for walks safely, and their parents can finally rest easy, knowing that the necessary help is always close at hand.

Bogdan and Maya need portable aspirators.

Bogdan 14 years old. Due to severe disabilities, the boy can not walk and he breathes through a tracheostomy - a special device to facilitate breathing. At night, the boy is connected to a ventilator. During the day, Bogdan breathes on his own, but he has to constantly clear his airways of phlegm using an aspirator. The device only works from the mains, and it is impossible to use it outside. Bogdan cannot leave the apartment without fear that his breathing will be impaired.

Little Maya has a similar story. The girl is only 3 years old. She is constantly lying down. Her airways have to be cleared every half hour. In such a situation, the mother cannot do without a portable device for sanitation, because any exit outside without an aspirator is life-threatening.

The families of Bogdan and Maya really hope for help from philanthropists. The appearance of portable aspirators will allow them to breathe freely not only at home, but also on walks.
