Maxim is 9 years old and has cerebral palsy. He was born prematurely, and at eight months old, he began experiencing seizures. Doctors diagnosed him with West syndrome. The seizures were successfully managed, and since then, Maxim has been actively working with specialists.
Thanks to regular rehabilitation courses, Maxim has made great progress. He can now sit with support, crawl, and stand while holding on to something. He speaks and even recites poems. Maxim studies at home — his teachers praise his focus, diligence, and excellent memory.
Recently, Maxim completed a rehabilitation course at the Rodnik Center. The program included massage therapy, physiotherapy, and speech therapy. As a result, Maxim’s body became more relaxed, and his arm and leg muscles gained better mobility. His back grew stronger, his arms became more stable, and his speech became clearer and more confident.
For children with cerebral palsy, it’s crucial to continue training regularly to maintain and build upon the progress they’ve made. Maxim is a kind and determined boy who has every chance to learn to walk on his own one day.
The Vishnyakov family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the Movement Is Life Charitable Foundation and everyone who helped fund Maxim’s rehabilitation course. Thanks to your support, Maxim has taken another important step toward independence and an active life!
