Umar underwent intensive rehabilitation!

Umar has childhood autism and delayed speech development. After 1.5 years, the boy stopped speaking and pronouncing sounds, all available skills disappeared. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of specialists, Umar has achieved great success during his intensive rehabilitation course. The child formed an index gesture and made eye contact. The boy became more calm, the number of manifestations of undesirable behavior decreased. During intensive classes, Umar learned to imitate movements with an object, repeating after the teacher, to compare identical and non-identical pictures with images and objects. The specialists worked on developing Umar's "listener behavior," which made him more diligent and involved in classes. The PECS alternative communication system (communication using flashcards) was introduced to the boy. After classes with a sensory integration specialist and an adaptive physical education instructor, the child learned how to perform exercises with a ball, run, jump, pass an obstacle course, his large and small motor skills improved, and a sense of balance appeared. Also, as part of the rehabilitation course, Umar underwent a course of Tomatis therapy, which reduced the boy's excessive activity, normalized his psychophysiological state, improved his communication skills, and improved his understanding of spoken language.
