In just a couple of hours you raised funds for medicines, nutrient solutions for drips and medical supplies for the girl. The family has already received several parcels from the Foundation and thanks everyone for their help! Hanifa was operated on immediately after birth. Surgeons had to remove almost the entire small intestine of the child, leaving only 5 centimeters and the diagnosis - short intestine syndrome. The girl could only eat special mixtures through a vein. And so it went on for several years. And then surgeons lengthened Hanifa's intestines to 31 centimeters. But it's still not enough for her digestive system to function properly. Hanifa can eat soups and cutlets, but she won't get healthy and grow from them. Her intestines can't digest normal food. Without daily nutritional drops, 6 year old Hanifa will begin to lose her health quickly. To prevent this from happening, a supply of paranteral nutrition was needed. And thanks to your support, the girl now has everything she needs for her body to develop and grow. “All the years since birth, Hanifa has been on intravenous nutrition. At first she was hooked up to an IV for 18, then 16, then 14, now 12 hours. We are getting closer and closer to the dream when her intestines will grow to normal size and IVs will be a thing of the past. Our daughter will be eating normal food and getting better.
