Bagautdin has completed an intensive rehabilitation course!

Bagautdin is 6 years old. The boy has a delay in speech development, he began to sit and walk late, and speech never appeared. After working with a behavioral analyst, Bagautdin mastered the first and second stages of requests using PECS alternative communication cards. He learned to compare identical and non-identical objects and images, shapes and colors, and distinguish between motivational stimuli. Work has been done to improve the listener's behavior, and an index gesture has been formed. Now the boy can express his desires, and his parents understand him better. Bagautdin became calmer, visual contact was established. The speech therapist-defectologist worked on the development of the child's auditory perception, which helped to improve the understanding of reversed speech. Bagautdin performed breathing exercises and voice function development. The specialist paid special attention to the formation of imitative speech activity and pronunciation of both individual sounds and simple words. During the sensory integration classes, exercises using ortho mats and a balance beam, as well as a hammock, rocking chair and swings were used. During his rehabilitation, there have been many changes in Bagautdin's development. There are improvements in the processing of tactile information, and there is an interest in vestibular loads. The boy has become less picky about loud noises, and there are positive results in the development of large and fine motor skills. Thanks to intensive training with an adaptive physical education coach, the boy mastered various simulators, jumping over barriers and throwing a ball, began to pass an obstacle course and even learned to ride roller skates and a scooter! Also, as part of the rehabilitation course, Bagautdin underwent 2 courses of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which reduced his excessive activity, normalized his psychophysiological state, improved his communication skills, and reduced the number of attacks of self-aggression.
