One-year-old Salimjon is preparing for surgery to treat retinopathy.

One-year-old Salimjon was born prematurely at 27 weeks of pregnancy. At 5 months of age, he was diagnosed with retinopathy of prematurity. The baby has already undergone three complicated surgeries, but the treatment is not complete. The next operation is scheduled for April, which is crucial to preserve his sight.

He is already responding to light - a wonderful sign! Salimjon's family lives in Uzbekistan and cannot pay for the necessary treatment on their own.
