Thanks to your help, we were able to perform surgery on Lisa, a dog from the shelter, as well as carry out all the necessary preoperative examinations. During the operation, Lisa had plates placed on her paws, with which she will walk for a month. After that, she will undergo a second operation to remove them.

Homeless dog Lisa needs surgery on her back legs!

Liza is 8 months old, she was found in the fall of 2024 in a gardening association near Moscow. She was one of six puppies born to a dog abandoned after the summer season. Local residents turned to volunteers, who took them all to the shelter.

The puppies grew up and began to go home. Volunteers noticed that Liza had a curvature of her hind legs, and with age this became worse.

According to the examination results, Liza was found to have a deformation of two hind legs that requires surgery. She will undergo several operations. Now she is facing the first one, on which braces will be installed on her hind legs to correct the incorrect fusion of bones and delay growth in the wrong direction.
