Umar has completed 3 intensive rehabilitation courses and learned new skills!

Umar has childhood autism and delayed speech development. After 1.5 years, the boy stopped speaking and pronouncing sounds, all available skills disappeared. The AVA therapy teacher actively worked with Umar on the PECS alternative communication system (communication using flashcards) - by the end of the rehabilitation courses, the boy had already introduced 4 stages of the system! Now Umar can build phrases based on a visual cue. Umar also began work on the formation of phrasal speech - he learned the correct pronunciation of syllables and the composition of words. A sensory integration specialist and an adaptive physical education coach worked with Umar on his sensorimotor skills and tactile system. Thanks to the lessons, the boy's large and small motor skills improved, he became calmer, and the number of episodes of restless behavior decreased. Umar also learned how to overcome an obstacle course, perform more complex exercises with balls and a rope, and ride a scooter. You're the best!
