Ashura is two and a half years old. She is an incredibly smiling and active little girl. She loves to dance and sing songs from her favorite cartoon about a kind cow. From the looks of it you can never say that the girl has a congenital genetic disease - primary immunodeficiency.

Ashura is often and long sick - infections attack the defenseless body every two to three weeks. And because of the critically low hemoglobin level in the first year and a half of her life alone, she received blood transfusions every week. It was the only way to stabilize her condition.

Now doctors have selected a maintenance therapy for Ashura with donor antibodies. These drugs will fill the gaps in the girl's own immunity and prevent life-threatening complications from developing.
