Abdurrahim is 4 years old, he has delayed speech development. The kid partially understands the addressed speech, but does not say anything, he is afraid of unfamiliar places and people. The boy plays only alone, does not show interest in others, he does not have an index gesture and eye contact, shows what he wants only with his mother's hand.
Thanks to classes with an AVA therapy specialist, Abdurrahim developed a pointing gesture and was able to master the first stage of requests using special PECs alternative communication cards. Now it's much easier for a child to interact with others and communicate their needs! They also worked on shaping the listener's behavior, and the boy became more persevering and learned to wait.
During his rehabilitation, Abdurrahim actively performed exercises for all types of perception: vestibular, visual, tactile and olfactory. The boy is now calmly riding on a swing, can play ladushki or throw a ball while standing on a balance beam. The child learned to perform somersaults and jumps on his own, jump over barriers, and ride a scooter.
Abdurrahim also underwent hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This hardware technique had a beneficial effect on his attention, reaction, and speed of thinking.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to paying for intensive rehabilitation courses for Abdurrahim!
