Friends, thank you for helping Pirate. It’s thanks to your support that we were able to cover his surgeries and relieve the problem that had been hurting him every single day. Pirate lived on the streets for a long time and caught a severe infection. It affected his eye, he went blind, and the eye was constantly inflamed and leaking. Because of this, Pirate also had a runny nose and was in constant discomfort. This kind of condition does not go away on its own, and the risk of complications only grows. With the funds raised, we carried out two necessary surgeries: we removed the painful eye and neutered Pirate. Removing the eye stopped the chronic inflammation and reduced the risk of the infection spreading further. Neutering eliminated the risk of hormonal stress and the health problems that come with it. Pirate is now recovering. He is already noticeably more comfortable, the constant source of pain and irritation is gone, he is calmer, eating better, and slowly returning to a normal life at the shelter.
