Yusuf has craniosynostosis, a condition in which the sutures between the bones of the skull overgrow before the baby's brain stops growing. Because of this, the baby cannot develop normally and the skull remains deformed. Without surgery, the baby develops neurological problems, epilepsy, visual impairment and other serious complications. Yusuf has already undergone the first surgery - the sutures were removed and titanium plates were fastened, which helped the child's head to give the right shape. However, it is now necessary to remove these plates - they are no longer needed, and if they are not removed, the skull will continue to exert pressure on the brain. The treatment was impossible to carry out in the child's home country, so the family turned to Russian surgeons. The parents paid for the first surgery and the plates themselves, but were unable to cope with the second one.
