9-year–old Manisa loves dancing, but with her diagnosis of epidermolysis bullosa (EB), any awkward movement can lead to skin wounds. Such patients are figuratively called "butterflies". To protect the girl's fragile skin from injury and infection, special dressings are needed.

Conventional bandages are not suitable for patients with EB. They are tough and stick to damaged skin, which only makes the situation worse. But atraumatic bandages create a soft barrier and allow the skin to heal. These high-tech and quite expensive dressings are necessary for Manisa every day. She also needs ointments and antiseptics — without them, full-fledged care is impossible.
