Yaroslav, an orphan from the Sverdlovsk region, has been in the care of the Foundation «Ty emy nuzhen» for several years.
The boy was born with a spinal malformation and has lived in an orphanage for the disabled since birth. Until the age of 10, Yarik moved only in a wheelchair. To give the boy a chance to get on his feet, the foundation organized a comprehensive examination and treatment in the northern capital.
With the support of Tooba users, during two years of treatment in St. Petersburg, Yaroslav underwent a complex orthopedic operation and several stages of plastering. A long-term rehabilitation awaits the boy.
But, in addition to treatment, Yarik needs to develop social and household skills and work with a speech pathologist and speech therapist in order to keep up with his peers in development.
