Every cat that comes to our shelter is first of all at risk. Many animals come from the street in a serious condition: with hidden infections, parasites, viruses or fungal diseases. Even if the animal appears healthy at first glance, this is not enough to release it into the common area. A period of quarantine is a mandatory safety measure to protect all shelter wards.
We are now opening a collection for the installation of two professional cat quarantine enclosures.
These enclosures will be equipped with: separate ventilation for constant air exchange and to reduce the concentration of harmful microorganisms; a drainage system to keep them clean and quickly disinfect them; lighting to visually monitor the cats' condition and maintain their natural rhythm; and temperature regulation to keep the animals comfortable even in cold weather or when temperatures fluctuate.
The quarantine enclosure allows isolation of newly admitted animals until they are fully diagnosed and sanitized. This reduces the risk of spreading infections to healthy cats in the shelter. For a shelter that receives dozens of new cats each week, safe quarantine is a matter of daily responsibility for the lives and health of hundreds of ponytails. Safe quarantine is the beginning of the journey to health and homes. With your help, we will make that journey calmer and more confident for our feline charges!
