Vera Sintsova was born on time, but due to hypoxia during childbirth, she got a severe birth injury and was immediately put to intensive care, where she spent a week. Upon discharge from the perinatal center, the neurologist said there was a high probability of cerebral palsy. A month later Vera experienced epileptic seizures.
At 1 year and 3 months Vera was finally prescribed an effective antiepileptic medicine. The seizures stopped and the child was unrecognizable - her parents heard their daughter laughing for the first time and decided to begin rehabilitation. At 2 years Vera went for her first rehabilitation course., The girl gained new skills and abilities with every passing course. Her muscle tone decreased, she began making sounds and maintaining a conscious eye contact, her interaction with others improved and her emotional state changed. Although Vera still cannot sit, stand or walk on her own, she makes steady progress toward these abilities.
The girl needs to undergo regular rehabilitation courses, but her family cannot afford to pay for them on their own. We are sure that all together we can help Vera get such a crucial rehabilitation and achieve new success and results!
