Zukhrakhon underwent heart surgery

Zukhrakhon was born with a heart defect — a rare coronary artery anomaly. Due to this condition she is not gaining weight and becomes fatigued very quickly. Zukhrakhon is the second child from a long-awaited twin birth. While her sister is actively exploring the world, Zukhrakhon remains seated, only observing. Even minimal physical activity causes her to turn blue and stiffle. Since the age of three months, Zukhrakhon has been under the care of cardiologists in Kyrgyzstan and has been on continuous medication, but the treatment has proven ineffective. Her parents have brought her to Russia, where she underwent medical examinations. Doctors are confident that the child's life will drastically improve after the surgery. Zukhrakhon does not have Russian citizenship, and therefore is not eligible for government-funded medical treatment. Her parents have no funds to cover the cost of surgery, as all their savings were spent on relocating from Kyrgyzstan to Russia, as well as on medical examinations and medications.
