Lisa had a congenital genetic disorder and needed care and assistance throughout her entire life. Her mother, her closest person, was always by her side. Despite battling her own serious illness and undergoing chemotherapy, she found the strength every day to be there for Lisa, to support her, and to give her love.
One of the most difficult challenges for the family was moving Lisa for hygiene routines and placing her into her wheelchair. Doctors had forbidden Lisa’s mother from lifting heavy weights, and Lisa already weighed over 30 kg. That’s why the family was in special need of a patient lift—a device that could make caregiving easier and help preserve the mother’s health.
Thanks to the kindness and support of compassionate people, we managed to raise the funds for this device. Sadly, Lisa passed away and never got the chance to use it. But kindness continues to live on. The lift was given to another girl, Kira, for whom it is now a vital necessity.
Thank you to everyone who responded and helped. Your involvement has become part of a great good deed that carries on.
