Thank you all for supporting our project! Thanks to you, the Perspektivy Art Studio for people with severe disabilities continues its work. This means our participants can create art, develop their talents and abilities, and feel valued and fulfilled — instead of spending their days aimlessly within the walls of a psycho-neurological institution.

According to the Russian Ministry of Labor, only about one-third of people with disabilities in Russia have any form of employment, and many who could work are legally declared incapable. Yet, thanks to the efforts of charitable organizations, people with disabilities are finding ways to work despite all the barriers. Among them is Alexey, an artist from the Perspektivy Art Studio. Alexey has been declared legally incapable, has limited hearing, and communicates mostly through gestures and facial expressions. Despite this, he is well-adapted: he manages his behavior, takes care of himself and his belongings, and handles everyday life independently. Alexey works as a graphic artist, builds models from various materials, and has recently become passionate about photography and videography. He has his own distinctive style and dedicates nearly all his time to creative work.

About the campaign

To enable people with disabilities in the boarding house to engage in creative work, the art studio needs support

Vika is a kind, cheerful girl with a difficult fate. Due to a severe disability, she uses a wheelchair. She spent her childhood in a children's home and a boarding house, and at 18, Vika ended up in a neuropsychiatric boarding house. Emotional and trusting, it was hard for her to get used to a new place: "I cried a lot, very much at first," she recalls.

Vika's life began to change after meeting the staff and volunteers of "Perspektivy". Along with them came impressions, communication, activities. Vika began to look for what she was really interested in: she tried herself in cooking, sculpted from clay, and then found herself in painting.

Today, Vika paints – bold and original. She loves to work with paints, crayons and pastels: "Although it gets dirty, it is so bright, very diverse." Fairytale flowers bloom on white sheets of paper, wonderful animals and birds appear – as if they had escaped from Vika's dreams and open heart.

So that Vika and other people with special needs in the boarding house can create and become more confident, we are raising funds for the work of the art studio. Donations will help pay for the work of its employees. Please support the project!
