Hirachimageda is 6 years old, and doctors diagnosed him with mental retardation. The boy did not respond to the name, avoided eye contact and showed no emotion.
During ABA therapy classes, the child learned to distinguish between body parts (ears, eyes, nose, shoulders, stomach, head, hair), and began to follow instructions with objects much better, for example, knock with a hammer, drink from a cup. Work continued on the development of fine motor skills, Hirachimagomed learned how to perform exercises such as lacing, modeling from plasticine, and using clothespins.
Thanks to the lessons, the child learned to wait his turn in the game lotto, piggy bank. Hirachimagomed also learned how to sort items into 4-5 baskets. We worked with a speech therapist to expand the vocabulary with nouns and verbs, and to develop speech breathing. The boy learned to build simple phrases, became more assiduous.
After sensory integration classes, Hirachimagomed became more focused, his level of hyperactivity decreased, and there were improvements in movement coordination and balance. The child began to show less impulsiveness. With an adaptive sports coach, the boy improved his physical skills and learned new exercises – long jumps, ball throwing, and somersaults.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to paying for the rehabilitation course for Hirachimagomed!
