Valentina was born in Yaroslavl and raised in a two-parent family. She worked as a shop assistant. Valentina has five children: Aliyar, Eldar, Aliyar, Samir, and Safina. Ten years ago, she was forced to move into her great-grandmother’s apartment to take care of her after a stroke. Five pregnancies and births have taken a toll on Valentina’s health — she now suffers from heart and leg problems. It is hard for her to care for a large family, even though the children try their best to help their mother.
A social worker from the "Deti Nashi" Foundation has developed a personalized recovery plan for Valentina. The family receives humanitarian aid and help with paperwork and social benefits. A home renovation is also planned in the near future.
This fundraiser will help us cover 7 months of work for the social worker, who currently supports 12 families in crisis. Thanks to their efforts, many children are able to stay at home with their loved ones — instead of ending up in an orphanage.
