Vasilisa has completed an intensive rehabilitation programme

Vasilisa is a positive, sociable girl from a large family. She was born on the 30th week and from the first days of her life she fought for it together with doctors. At 8 months old, Vasilisa was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia) and since then she has been on a long road of rehabilitation. Thanks to the efforts of her family and doctors, Vasilisa has already achieved a lot: she has learnt to sit, crawl, speak, count to 50, stand with the support of a walker. She attends kindergarten, likes painting, swimming and hippotherapy. Regular classes are making steady progress. In order to maintain this and move forward, Vasilisa needs a new intensive course. It will help to strengthen muscles, improve co-ordination, balance, speech and general stamina. This is especially important now - this year Vasilisa will start school. She is looking forward to the start of her studies, new friends and opportunities to prove herself. She needs your support to feel confident and to cope with new challenges!
