For a year and a half now, the Light in Hands Foundation has been implementing the Baby House project, a unique program to help pregnant women whose children are faced with severe developmental defects even before birth. During this time, we have helped more than 30 babies be born, survive, and receive the necessary medical care in Moscow. Behind each of these numbers is a saved life and a family that did not give up.
Many women from the regions of Russia are diagnosed by doctors with a diagnosis that the child needs surgery in utero or immediately after birth. Often in Moscow, in highly specialized clinics. But coming to the capital, finding housing, staying here for several weeks or even months is an impossible task for most families.
This is where the Baby House project comes to the rescue. We find and pay for housing near the perinatal center, organize round-the-clock support, help with documents, and provide psychological assistance. We take on all the household chores so that the mother can focus on the main thing - the health of the child.
To continue this work, we need your help. The funds will go to pay for the work of coordinators, administrators, specialists, housing and help for new families who need support today.
