Amalia is 7 years old. After a year, there was a setback in development, the girl stopped speaking and understanding the addressed speech. She was diagnosed with delayed speech development. Now Amalia repeats some words, but does not comply with requests, there is no eye contact.
During their work with Amalia, the specialists focused on developing skills such as establishing leadership control, improving visual perception, distinguishing between identical and non-identical objects, and following instructions using cards and objects. By the end of the lessons, the girl had learned to sit quietly in class and complete the suggested tasks.
Amalia also introduced a new level of communication system using special PECs cards, and studied new incentives, such as marmalade, chocopai cookies, and candies. By the end of the intensive, the girl began to actively cooperate, fulfill requests and instructions. There are improvements in the development of sensorimotor skills and sensory perception. Short-term eye contact has appeared, and there is a positive trend in the development of large and small motor skills.
As part of the rehabilitation course, Amalia underwent a course of therapy using the Tomatis method. After the application of the hardware procedures, the girl's psychophysiological condition returned to normal, and there was an improvement in her communication skills and understanding of spoken speech.
