Dana has autism! She doesn't speak, she's afraid of loud noises and strangers. Thanks to intensive classes, the girl learned to perform simple motor actions and play board games on her own, and her communication skills and behavior improved.
As part of this rehabilitation course, Dana worked daily with specialized specialists, namely AVA therapy, sensory integration, adaptive physical education and a speech therapist. The baby also underwent a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
By the end of the course, Dana had mastered new skills, learned how to compare identical and non-identical cards, and developed associative thinking. The girl continued to learn how to play board and social games, learned to wait her turn, and became much more patient and calm.
The specialists also worked on developing Dana's sensorimotor and physical skills. The baby's sensory, tactile, and visual perception has improved, and it has become easier for her to keep her balance. Dana learned how to perform new exercises using sports equipment, for example, throwing a ball at a target, lifting dumbbells correctly.
