The new shelter, which the Penza orphanage has created on its own, has a special space — an intensive care area. The most difficult patients will be here: kittens without mothers, animals after surgery, with viruses, sepsis, and zero immunity. Their bodies are unable to fight infections, and therefore their main protection is not only medicines, but also a sterile, clean, safe environment.
However, to complete the move, it is necessary to install a false bottom and doors on the enclosures - without these structures it is impossible to ensure the safety and comfort of animals. Why is this so important? The false bottom in aviaries is necessary in order to provide protection from contamination, improve cleaning conditions and prevent injury to animals. It helps to maintain hygiene and makes the space for animals safer and more comfortable.
The Foundation is raising funds for the manufacture of 9 aviary structures in the intensive care unit. These doors will be made of stainless steel, a strong, durable material that is easy to disinfect. This is especially important where animals are weakened, and every bacterium can become deadly.
This project is not about construction, but about caring. About the chance for the most fragile animals to survive and recover!
