Serikbol has started chemotherapy

22-year-old Serikbol Yermukhambetov from Oral has been diagnosed with a severe blood disorder — aplastic anemia, a condition in which the bone marrow stops producing blood cells. This is a life-threatening illness, and the only effective treatment is an urgent bone marrow transplant. No compatible donor was found in Kazakhstan, but thanks to an international registry, a matching donor was located in Turkey. A clinic in Turkey has agreed to accept Serikbol, but urgent payment and travel arrangements are required. The total cost of treatment — including the transplant, hospitalization, laboratory tests, and post-operative therapy — is 41,600,000 KZT. So far, Serikbol’s family has raised 23,000,000 KZT, which is just over half of the required amount. Time is critical: the sooner the transplant is done, the higher the chances of full recovery. Serikbol is currently receiving supportive care in Kazakhstan, but without the main operation, his condition will continue to deteriorate. Serikbol is a young man who has just started a family.
