Misha's story started out cloudless.
The long-awaited son, the third child in the family after two girls. He was born weighing 4100 grams - a real giant! A week later happy mother and son went home without any abnormalities. At 1 month he had a routine check-up and again no abnormalities.
And suddenly after 2 months the baby started melting before our eyes. He couldn't hold his head, no longer reacted to others, rolled his eyes. All motor reflexes of a newborn were absent.
Our new life began. Hospitals, examinations, tests, treatment.
The following diagnoses were given: congenital cerebral malformation, organic CNS damage, delay of psychomotor development.
All the illnesses were caused by a rare genetic disease: Joubert syndrome.
The doctors recommended hippotherapy. A good counterpart to riding a horse is exercising on a special simulator: it helps to improve muscle tone, balance and coordination in space.
During his little life Mishutka has come a long way to recovery. It is important not to stop there, especially while the child is small and more amenable to treatment.
The only one working in the large family is his father. This is why Mischa's parents have to turn to kindhearted people for help.
