Khabib grew and developed within normal limits. At 1.5 years old, his mother noticed that the boy did not understand spoken language, did not speak, and did not interact with other children. Khabib was given several diagnoses: psychological and speech development disorder, general speech underdevelopment of level 1, and autism spectrum disorder.
For three weeks, Khabib worked daily with specialists in ABA therapy, sensory integration, adaptive physical education, as well as with a speech therapist-defectologist. Thanks to the intensive rehabilitation course, Khabib's behavior improved and there was progress in his development!
The child learned to distinguish motivational items using cards, and he also developed new incentives—chips and chocolate. Work was also done on developing Khabib's logical thinking, and now he can assemble simple puzzles. The boy developed a pointing gesture and stable eye contact, making it easier for him to communicate with others.
A major achievement was the development of Khabib's speech skills—he began to echo and imitate sounds! There were also improvements in learning motor imitation skills, fine motor skills, and the boy developed a sense of balance. By the end of the course, Khabib became much more attentive and calm!
