At the age of one, Polina started having seizures. Before the seizures, she would sit in a wheelchair, ride a bike around the house, eat with a spoon, and try to say some syllables, but then the seizures would start and she would have a relapse. In 2014, Polina's mother passed away, and her father left and hasn't been involved since. Polina lives with her grandmother.Since 2015, Polina has been on a ventilator, and her health has deteriorated significantly, with complications such as pneumonia, gastrostomy, tracheostomy, and more. The tracheostomy has now been partially removed, and Polina can breathe on her own for 2-3 hours a day. Polina has experienced a clinical death. She is currently in a very serious condition, with bedsores, and she cannot stand or do anything on her own. The gastrostomy is constantly in the way. Since 2021, Polina has been receiving specialized nutrition from a nutritionist as part of her ongoing nutritional support. This nutrition is essential for her survival. We can't afford the expensive food on our own, so we're looking to the fund for help!
