Alikhan was only six months old when his mother noticed that his son's left eye was not moving. Thanks to the conducted examinations, it was possible to diagnose retinoblastoma, a malignant tumor of the retina of the eye.

Alikhan courageously went through one stage of treatment after another. Six courses of chemotherapy in one of the clinics in Almaty and a laser operation were left behind — it was performed in Moscow, the disease turned out to be stronger. Alikhan's eye could not be saved. The doctors gave him a prosthetic eye.

Alikhan is seven now. He likes to spend time in the yard with friends, learns to play the dombra, the national musical instrument, and adores Spider-Man. But even the bravest of us sometimes need support. Alikhan is growing up, therefore he needs to replace his eye prosthesis with a more age-appropriate one, and it is important to undergo an examination first before undergoing surgery.
