Masud is only 1 year and 7 months old, and he has a serious congenital diagnosis - spina bifida complicated by hydrocephalus. This means that Masud has a damaged spinal cord, which greatly affects his ability to move, especially - to learn to walk independently. Now is the most important time when babies take their first steps. But Masud cannot even stand without support. We see how he wants to move, to explore the world, like his peers, but his legs do not obey him yet. But the doctors gave the family hope. After consultations, the baby was recommended special orthoses - this is his chance! They will become the necessary support for his legs and feet, will help him: stand confidently without constant support, take his first independent steps, begin to actively develop, explore space and become more independent. Without this support, Masud risks remaining confined to a wheelchair for a long time, missing a critically important time for development. Unfortunately, orthoses are very expensive equipment.
