Maintaining order in the shelter is not an easy task. This is a daily job that is usually hidden from prying eyes. For example, washing.
In the shelter, she walks non-stop from 10.00 to 22.00. We wash heavy blankets, bedspreads, beds so that our ponytails live in cleanliness and comfort.
Professional equipment could easily handle such a load, but we can't install it — the building is old, and the wiring won't hold up. We have to use household washing machines, which, unfortunately, periodically fail.
The last car lasted only 3 months, so we no longer trust this manufacturer. We're raising funds for another company's washing machine: it has proven itself well, it has a large drum capacity.
"We currently have 2 washing machines. — says the director of the shelter Natalia Avlasevich. — They are working at the limit. If another one of them breaks, it will be very difficult for us, because the volume of daily washing is only growing. The one that's out of order is beyond repair, and we really need your help."
