Thanks to your support, the Psychological and Pedagogical Correction Centre (PPCC) in Derzhavinsk, Akmola Region, has received 30 new developmental materials for children with special educational needs.

The set includes wall-mounted activity panels, puzzles, sorting games, mazes, tactile and balance games, interhemispheric boards, and materials for emotional development. These resources will help specialists make individual and group sessions more effective and engaging, supporting children’s speech, attention, thinking, motor skills, coordination, and social-emotional development.

The new materials will be used daily by the PPCC team, helping children receive better support and more opportunities to develop and learn, regardless of where they live. Thank you!

Tree of growth: Educational toys for children with special needs in rural areas

There are over 200 Psychological and Pedagogical Support Centers (PPSCs) across Kazakhstan and more than 50 of them were opened with the support of the DARA Foundation, which helps equip these centers with modern tools and provides training for staff. At these centers, children with special educational needs receive free support from specialists like psychologists, speech therapists, special education teachers, and others. But many PPSCs in rural areas still have to work with outdated materials, which limits the effectiveness of their sessions.

We’re raising funds to provide a set of 30 modern, locally made wooden educational toys for a PPSC team in a rural part of Akmola Region. With these tools, children will be able todevelop their speech, attention, motor skills, and emotional awareness through play.

These aren’t just toys. They’re everyday tools for change, used by professionals to help children grow. Support this project and help ensure that every child, no matter where they live, gets an equal start in life!
