Sasha lives in an orphanage in Ryazan Oblast. He really wants a family, but he wants to walk on his own even more! So far the child is not very good at it, but there is a good chance of success. The boy had an operation on his spine in St. Petersburg. He has a defect called spina bifida - which means that the spine does not close completely and the brain comes out forming a hernia. Sasha needs special plastic boots - orthoses - to develop his skills. They are made individually from an impression. The orthoses keep the leg in the correct position. Specialists believe that thanks to the orthoses, Sasha will be able to make his first steps. Such a purchase is not provided by the state, and Sasha's parents are not there to help.
