Thank you for your support — Artem has completed his rehabilitation course!

Foundation Moscow

Thanks to your help, Artem, a five-year-old boy with cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia), completed a rehabilitation program. The main achievement is that after just 10 sessions, Artem took his first independent steps using a walker. For his family, this became the biggest and most meaningful result. During the course, Artem also began to sit more confidently and hold his back better without support. He started standing on his feet for longer periods without sudden collapses, which indicates increased muscle strength and stability. Every new skill is a challenge for Artem. After being born prematurely, undergoing SDR surgery, and experiencing reduced spasticity in his legs, it is especially important for him to continuously reinforce the movements he has learned. Specialists note that with regular therapy, Artem has good prospects of learning to walk independently. Artem is a cheerful, sociable boy with strong motivation — he is eager to catch up with his twin brother. Each rehabilitation course helps bring him closer to this goal. Thank you to everyone who supported Artem and helped him take this important step forward!

Artyom has cerebral palsy, he needs a course of physical therapy

Artyom is 5 years old, as is his twin brother Daniel. They were born prematurely and therefore have to fight for a normal life. Daniel suffered less, now he only has a speech delay, but he goes to a regular kindergarten and works with a speech therapist. Artyom was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia). Every new motor skill is difficult, but thanks to continuous rehabilitation at the age of 4, he got back on his feet for the first time and started crawling. Three years ago, I had an SDR operation, which reduced the spasticity in my legs, but there was less support on them. Now even more classes are needed to consolidate the skills that have been developed. Experts believe that with constant training, Artyom has prospects of walking on his own. And Artyom himself is engaged with a smile – after all, he has the motivation to catch up with his twin brother! In general, he is a cheerful and sociable boy, playing story games with his brother and older sister. He attends a creative writing club and has made new friends there too. The purpose of this course of classes is to learn how to stand on a support in order to start walking with support in the future.
