Said is 12 years old, and he has been lagging behind in development since childhood. By the time he was a year old, he hadn't uttered a single word, and after a year his behavior changed: the boy stopped responding to the name, he didn't have a pointing gesture, and he didn't make eye contact. At the age of two, Said became restless, disinhibited, had tantrums, and did not interact with other children.
