Thanks to your help, Liza, a three-year-old girl with spina bifida, completed a course of physical therapy with instructor Alexey Kirpichev. After surgery to remove a spinal hernia and with lower paraparesis, regular rehabilitation plays a key role in her development.
From the very first session, Alexey identified the areas where Liza experienced the greatest difficulties, and special attention was given to them throughout the course. The sessions were comprehensive: in addition to therapeutic exercises, the program included massage elements, stretching, and balance exercises.
The course delivered excellent results. Liza’s range of motion in contracted joints increased, and the muscles of her lower legs and back became stronger. She learned to confidently rise from the “high kneeling” position, became more stable while walking, and began to fall less often.
Liza is a cheerful and musical girl who dreams of learning to dance. Each rehabilitation course helps her feel more confident in her movements and brings her one step closer to that dream.
Thank you to everyone who supported Liza and gave her the opportunity to move forward.
