Akhmad has atypical autism with a developmental disorder. He barely speaks, has poor understanding of spoken language, has echolalia, and is developmentally delayed.
Akhmad's mother, Sabina, is raising two children alone. She used to work as a hairdresser, but now she rarely goes out — she takes care of her youngest son and her sick mother. Previously, her grandmother helped with the children, but now Sabina does everything herself.
All of her income goes to food and the needs of her youngest child. Akhmad has not yet been assigned a disability pension — the documents are in the process, expected in a few months.
Sabina turned to our foundation for help because she cannot pay for Akhmad's rehabilitation course at the Doktrina Medical Center in St. Petersburg on her own.
They had previously undergone treatment there and saw progress: the child became calmer, more attentive, and more communicative.
