When Sayan was four years old, he lost his hand in an accident.
At the age of 5, Sayan received his first cosmetic prosthesis. However, it turned out to be uncomfortable. There were several such prostheses during his childhood, but they still did not fit well. It was clear that the child needed not just a dummy, but a real functional replacement.
When Sayan turned 11, his parents began to reach out to charitable foundations and, along with them, to a company that makes active and bionic prostheses. Since then, the boy regularly receives modern prostheses, but since he is growing, they have to be changed almost every year.
One such prosthesis is expensive, so every time the parents have to seek support.
Two years ago, Sayan received a bionic prosthesis. Now he can train, play sports, strengthen his muscles, lift weights, and lead an active lifestyle. But because the bionic prosthesis is heavy, Sayan has started to experience back pain and developed a spinal curvature.
Doctors diagnosed him with kyphoscoliosis. To avoid worsening the situation, the boy needs a lightweight functional prosthesis that he can wear every day, walk to school with, ride a bike, help his father, and interact with friends.
